How do I complete this course?

Online with trainer support available on campus on the designated day.

Alternatively, if you are based in Townsville, you can complete the qualification in the classroom.

Townsville Campus

At our Townsville campus we offer our students the option to complete this qualification in class. This involves 20 hours (two and a half days) per week in the classroom with a course duration of 24 weeks + 4 weeks break. You will be supplied with all learning resources and equipment including a computer to use in the classroom. Kitchen facilities are available on campus.

Course length for online study

Study at your own pace within the expected course duration of 12 months.

Career pathways

Upon completion of this course you could be eligible for such positions as customer service adviser, junior personal assistant, general office clerk, office administrator or payroll officer.

Recognition of Prior Learning

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is ideal for people without any formal qualifications. No matter how, when or where you acquired your skills, you can still receive a full or partial qualification based on your experience gained through various work or life situations.

Entry requirements

Basic computer skills, literacy and numeracy skills.

Equipment requirements

You will need access to a computer with Office software including PowerPoint, Word and Excel or equivalents, the internet, a printer and a telephone to complete this qualification.

Government funding and incentives

Some applicants may be eligible for funding from the Queensland Government via the Certificate 3 Guarantee or User Choice programs.

For elegible Certificate 3 Guarantee students the student contribution fee to complete this qualification is:

  • Student contribution fee: Non-Concession - $12 per unit, total of $144, Concession - $5 per unit, total of $60
