Who is this course designed for?

The MEM30205 Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade (Refrigeration and Air Conditioning)  qualification provides the knowledge and skills for an apprentice to install, repair and service refrigeration and air conditioning systems.

The work includes design, assembly & installation modification, fault finding, commissioning, maintenance and repair of compressors, chiller units, blower unit fan systems, electrical / electronic control units, air balance units, refrigeration recharge units, high and low pressure vacuum pumps and duct work sections. It also includes the fabrication of pipes and component fitting, and working with electrical/electronics circuits and refrigerant gasses.

How Long Is The Course

The course duration is up to 48 months

 

Assessment Requirements

Assessment will consist of individual or clustered competencies in a single visit, whereby the student will display their theoretical and practical ability to a standard where the trainer can deem them competent.

 

Recognition of Prior Learning

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is ideal for people with or without any formal qualifications, but with experience gained through various work or life situations. No matter, how, when or where you acquired your skills, you can still receive a full or partial qualification leading to a higher competency.
