This course is for those employed as an apprentice in the manufacturing, engineering and related industry areas. Apprentices will acquire skills and knowledge in workplace communication, workplace health and safety, quality procedures systems and planning, engineering measurement, computations and computer technology. Industry-specific skills in welding and boiler making that are relevant to either current or intended employment will also be taught.

This accredited qualification is delivered as an Australian Apprenticeship.
Accordingly, you will need employment as an Apprentice at a suitable employer with a nominated Supervisor who holds this qualification (or recognised equivalent).

This qualification has been replaced by MEM31925 Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade as of 03 September 2025. A transition period applies to enable current students to complete their study. The transition period finishes on 02 September 2026. Students who have not fully completed this qualification prior to this date will be transitioned into the replacement qualification.
