CHC50113 Diploma of Early Childhood Care

his qualification reflects the role of early childhood educators who are responsible for designing and implementing curriculum in early childhood education and care services. In doing so they work to implement an approved learning framework within the requirements of the Education and Care Services National Regulations and the National Quality Standard.

They may have responsibility for supervision of volunteers or other staff.

Entry requirements

Students will be required to undergo a ‘Working with Children Check’ and receive a positive notice and blue card (links below)

If the student is ineligible from applying for a blue card, they may be disqualified from being eligible to undertake placement and assessment, which would affect their course outcomes.

It is also recommended that all students should undertake screening for vaccination against the following Queensland Health Mandatory vaccination requirements such as:

  • MMR (Measles, Mumps and Rubella)
  • Influenza
  • Varicella zoster virus (chicken pox)
  • Pertussis (whooping cough)
  • Hepatitis A
  • Hepatitis B

The student will be responsible for any costs associated with meeting these placement requirements.
